Moorclose Community Hub Developing the future!

 

Over the next few months we are  stripping out the old and replacing with the new to provide a great community facility for Moorclose and beyond!

Moorclose Community Centre, known as the Campus opened in 1993 as a facility  for residents of South Workington  incorporating a School, theatre and sports centre.

 

Today Moorclose Hub remains as an asset run for the benefit of the local community by Moorclose Community Centre.

​

The Centre offers a range of activities for the very young to the most senior in our community.

​

Over forty organisations provide activities ranging from sports, leisure, education and the arts. There are a number of resident organisations who provide support and advice and address issues such as physical disability, stress and visual impairment.

​

In addition we also host clubs and enterprises who provide motor cycle training, boxing, dancing and fitness classes.

​

The are also regular activities that reflect the needs and interests of our local residents; parent and toddler, cubs, beavers and brownies, bingo and keep fit and knit and natter.
